Our Mission
To improve the quality of life of paralyzed veterans and other adults and children living with a disability.One way that we achieve this is by developing equal opportunities in sports and recreation, especially those activities that enhance lifetime health and fitness.

  • For individuals with physical disabilities
  • Crossfit style of training
  • Variety of adaptive equipment
  • Improves strength, endurance, flexibility & cardiovascular health
  • Sessions available Monday-Friday By Appointment Only
Wheelchair Bowling Leagues

 

  • Wheelchair bowlers of all skill levels are welcome
  • 16 week practices held at Mockingbird Lanes – Omaha
  • USBC (United States Bowling Congress) sanctioned
  • Bowling ramps provided at each alley

group2 Youth Summer Art Camp

 

  • For youth ages 6+ with a physical disability
  • 9am-Noon Monday-Friday for 1 week
  • Learn self-expression through various art media
  • Opportunity to develop new friendships in a fun environment
  • Taught by a PVA Member and UNO art education student
Air Guns

 

  • Safety course required
  • Equipment provided
  • Practices held in PVA gym
  • Provides opportunity to practice marksmanship

  • Practices held in PVA gym
Archery Practice

Billiards

  • For PVA Members and PVA Fitness clients
  • Practices held at Big John’s Billiards
  • Tournaments held twice a year

Promotes teamwork and strategic planning

Recreational and competitive play
